Lost in translation

THIS IS SO INTERESTING...There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Rom 8:1) . This is probably one of the most well known verses among Christians. And in most translations this verse has a little something extra...who live not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.

The amazing thing is that this last part was not in the original manuscript! How's that for translation?

The following notes are given in the net translation:

'The earliest and best witnesses of the Alexandrian and Western texts, as well as a few others have no additional words for verse 1.
Later scribes added the words, “who do not walk according to the flesh"
while even later ones added, “but [who do walk] according to the Spirit”.

Both the external evidence and the internal evidence are compelling for the shortest reading. The scribes were evidently motivated to add such qualifications to insulate Paul’s gospel from charges that it was characterised too much by grace. The KJV follows the longest reading.'

So what it says in English is that from earliest times there was a 'problem' with Paul's GRACE teaching and the King James Version does not follow the right translation?
God has done a good job with this GRACE teaching, it's contradicting to our world system - maybe this is why we humans have so much trouble with it.
