Hide and seek

My nine year old daughter and I often play hide and seek in our house. We are always trying to find “that place” where the other person will not be able to find you. And if you are found, there is the notorious chase to outrun each other to the block spot .

It made me think of the scripture that says; For the eyes of Jehovah (or just God) run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect (blameless, loyal) toward him. God is searching - and He is searching for you.

God is all-knowing, He knows our whereabouts. Yet we see from this passage that God is seeking, but He is not seeking to try and find us in our presumably best hiding place. He is also not seeking us to just find us then it is game over! No, He is seeking for another purpose, and that is to show Himself strong, to give strong support, to give strength to those whose hearts are loyal towards Him.
And what makes a heart loyal and especially loyal towards God? I believe it is twofold, choice and action.
- First of all it is a choice to believe in God through Jesus Christ.
- Secondly, it is an action to be found in His plan for our life.

God will use every opportunity wonderfully to help those who are loyal to Him.

Share with us an incident in your life when God showed Himself strong.
2Ch 16:9 (ASV)
