Abraham and his son was on their way to worship at Moraih.When they came to the place of worship Isaac realise they have everything for the sacrifice except the lamb. He asked his father about this and Abraham replied: “the Lord will provide”. This is his statement of faith, his surrender to God.
Then when there was no way out and Abraham explained to Isaac that he is the lamb... in these final moments of total surrender...
God called out his name
Abraham answered and then looked up and saw a ram in the thicket, maybe he had not seen the ram until he looked for it.
Abraham called this place, “the Lord will provide” (v14), some translations say, “where the Lord appears”. It does not really matter, for the Lord, and his provision is the same thing. One of God’s names is Jahweh Jireh – the Lord our provider.
Put your trust in Him, he is Jahweh Jireh.
