Life defining moments

Ever had one of those life defining moments with God? You just know that you had a brief encounter with heaven. This can come in many different ways. It can be a picture, a 'knowing' in your heart, something that you have read  in the bible that came alive, and maybe others that I can't even think of. The widow at Zarephath had such a moment with God. Elijah came to her and ask if she would make him something to eat. Remember now there was only enough for her and her child... And then came this life defining moment: do it and you will lack nothing until the famine is over. We all have moments like this, and then we must decide. What will you do? Take the chance or bank it. If you bank it you are sure of this one last meal. If you take the chance - the leap of faith, anything can happen.  What will you do in this life defining moment? Will you trust the word that God spoke to your spirit and obey? This widow decided to obey and what glorious consequences. The jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry. It saved her and her family (and the prophet).
