Summer - School - Spending

In the Southern hemisphere these three are synonyms.

We are all anticipating the new school year. Walking in the Mall yesterday seeing all the Christmas decorations made space for stationary and school clothes (in South Africa our kids still wear school uniform). Parents spend thousands in the process of educating their children. I cannot help to wonder what do you do if don't have the nessary funds to even buy the needed pencils? need a bursary?

There is another thing that a new school year reminds me of and that is the fact that my daughter is getting older (wonder what it says about me?).

We cannot make time stand still, but we can make the best of the moment. Resolve that this year you will make time for your children. After all you were a child once and look where you are now.  Your children is (after your husband) your primary place of investment. Listen to them when they are still small and they will share with you when they are teenagers. For those with teenagers - it is never to late to listen to them. And listening does not mean giving in to every demand they make! It just means you have heard their side of the story. Walk the walk...love them       this is your ministry
