The God of Amen
What is in a name? If it is God`s name, there are vast promises for His children. God`s name can mean many things for He has many names. Names that address the needs his children might have. Like the Lord our healer or our Saviour.
But have you ever heard of God as God-Amen or the God of Truth? Amen means `so be it`, when translated from the original language.
In Isaiah 65:16 it reads:
He who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth. And he who swears in the earth will swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from My eyes.
Here He is called ` Elohē'âmēn, the God of Amen, ` the God who keeps his promises. We read the same in 2 Corinthians 1:20, that Jesus Christ is the Yes and Amen to all God promises. In him is the `so be it ' already fulfilled. In Revelation 3:14 Jesus is called the Amen - the faithful and true witness.
As His child, you can rest assured that every promise of God is already `yes and so be it `in Jesus. Think about His promises, Jesus paid for every one of them so that you can have it all, not only a few. Maryna @In Tune
